Directions to Cherry Creek Lodge

Cherry Creek Lodge is located just outside of Young, Arizona. It is approximately a 3 to 3½ hour drive from Phoenix, depending on the route you take. There are two different routes to reach the lodge, one from Payson in the north and one from Globe in the south.

From SKY HARBOR through PAYSON

Start out going EAST on E SKY HARBOR BLVD. 0.2 mi

Slight left to stay on E SKY HARBOR BLVD.    2.0 mi

Take AZ-202-Loop E ramp towards Tempe 0.5 mi

Merge onto AZ -202-Loop E 7.1 mi

Take exit 13, AZ – 87 (Beeline Highway)/Country Club Drive toward Payson 0.4 mi

Turn left onto AZ – 87 N (Beeline Highway)/Country Club to Payson

Turn right onto AZ-260 31.6mi

Turn right onto NF-512 Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Road/Young-Heber Road (located between mile markers 284 and 285 on AZ-260

Continue on NF-512 (portions unpaved) to Young.  (NF -512 becomes AZ -288) 25.8 mi

When you arrive in Young, you will pass the Post Office and “Hunt Building Materials” on your left. At the next bend, there is a Cherry Creek Lodge Sign. Turn left after the sign, crossing a cattle guard onto FS Road 54 (AKA Cherry Creek Road and Buck McKinney Road), unpaved.

Follow the signs to the Cherry Creek Lodge. 5mi

From SKY HARBOR through GLOBE/Miami

Start out going EAST on E SKY HARBOR BLVD. 0.2 mi

Slight left to stay on E SKY HARBOR BLVD.    2.0 mi

Take AZ-202-Loop E ramp towards Tempe/Mesa 0.5 mi

Merge onto AZ -202-Loop E 4.3 mi

Take exit 9 to merge onto AZ-101 Loop S 2.9 mi

Take exit 55A toward US-60 E/Globe 1.1 mi

Merge onto US-60 E 69.7mi

Turn left at Apache Trail/AZ-188 N 14.7 mi
